As a member of the growing SAM family of Genelec monitors and subs, the S360 seamlessly integrates with GLM software for configuration, calibration, and control. Via GLM, any Genelec SAM speaker can be easily incorporated into a system configurable from stereo to complex immersive formats of 40 channels and more. GLM also functions as a comprehensive Mac- and Windows-based monitor controller that lets you calibrate your listening level to loudness standards, switch between formats, monitoring systems, and primary listening positions, and more.

Enhanced directivity and superb imaging
The S360 features a low diffraction enclosure with premium-quality Finnish woodwork. This allows the S360 to achieve a very smooth frequency response and superb imaging qualities with minimized cabinet edge diffraction. The S360 also features Genelec’s advanced Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW). The revolutionary DCW has been further enhanced to provide extremely accurate control of the S360’s directivity. Genelec designed this specially shaped, very smooth surface and integrated it with the enclosure. Its area has been maximized to achieve an astoundingly flat on- and off-axis frequency response. As a result, the S360 has an astoundingly wide, flat frequency response both on- and off-axis.

High-performance reflex port design
To increase the S360 woofer’s low-frequency extension and SPL capacity, Genelec developed their ingenious Laminar Integrated Port (LIP) technology. Flow-optimized using computer-generated finite element models to achieve low distortion and high efficiency even at very high output levels, the system consists of dual tubes, each stretching across half of the enclosure depth to maximize airflow. This allows the S360 to reproduce deep bass without compression. The reflex ports are integrated into the enclosure during the molding process. As the S360 is intended for vertical orientation, the down-firing ports permit easy placement of the monitor against a wall, although the S360 is equally at home when positioned freestanding.

High audio output with low distortion
Genelec’s low distortion drivers (10″ woofer and 1″ compression tweeter) are driven by the S360’s dedicated 250-watt Class D bass and 100-watt treble amplifiers after sophisticated filtering. Overload protection circuitry and versatile room response controls are standard. Thanks to Genelec’s Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) power management system, you never have to remember to shut down your S360 monitors again. ISS constantly checks for input signal. After a while, if ISS doesn’t detect anything, it switches your S360 over to a low-power sleep state, safeguarding your gear and sparing you the wasted electricity.

Versatile mounting options and Iso-Plate
The versatile mounting features on the S360 include integrated rear support points for wall and floor stands plus a further M10 thread for mounting on the cabinet base. In addition, the S360 design includes Genelec’s Iso-Plate, a clever mounting stand that prevents air turbulence and decouples the monitor from its base and the surface it’s resting on, allowing the S360 to perform well either freestanding or against a wall.
